ViroFilter™ Technology is an innovative system for the treatment of municipal wastewater and biosolids to exacting discharge standards.
Our philosophy for the treatment of wastewater and biosolids provided by ViroFilter™ Technology is that municipal wastewater is a resource with nutrients that should be returned to the land and not discharged to waterways, thereby limiting the potential for eutrophication and other “downstream” problems. ViroFilter™ Technology is therefore at the forefront of effluent and biosolids reuse.
ViroFilter™ Technology reduces phosphate concentrations in the influent stream by up to 95%.
ViroFilter Technology allows Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTP’s) to increase capacity without the need for expensive capital upgrades. It allows the discharge of water with phosphate levels of <1mg/l and radically improve the quality of biosolids for reuse applications.
The flow – through system allows for maximum coverage of the media and can be a completely passive system. Customers of ViroFilter Technology can justifiably claim to have a successful, new technology possessing a zero carbon footprint.
